Sceptra IV: Backstory 1

The year is 670 AD. Men on earth are still fighting with crude swords, shields, and spears. In a galaxy 978 Trillion light years away, Sceptra IV, men and other species fight with a different sword, Betrayal. A thousand years earlier, no star system had any sort of powerful engines capable of interstellar travel. Then, a bright young human named Archais came up with the idea of travel through space. Though scoffed at, he spent years creating a working Ion super engine. At the age of 27, he finished his massive project, and soon after showing it off to an admiring group of spectators on his home world, he was assassinated by an unknown character. 25 years later, a shady company by the name of Quia Energies suddenly reintroduced the super engine with a new name: The hyper drive. Massive companies and rich land owners immediately ate up the stock of the new item, and interstellar travel was introduced to the galaxy. But with invention also comes animosity. No longer did the issue of governing your own world come up, but now other life forms on other planets in the same galaxy shared an economy with almost every other inhabited planet in the galaxy. Republics and Empires came and disappeared, and by the year AD 656, the galaxy was in disarray. Their was no governing body regulating trade and war, and Trade Federations laid waste to the galaxy, taking advantage of the lack of law. In a distant corner of the galaxy, on a lush green planet named Trag, a group of humanoids had watched the galaxy through their telescopes, and scoffed at the foolishness of the other species. The planets inhabitants were never at strife, they had united into a single group, and all shared the feeling of superiority to other species. Tragalonians had a smarter brain, were taller, stronger, charismatic, and handsome. The young ambitious (much like Archais himself) Tragalonian Hadrin Arculus had gotten fed up with the perfection of their world. Their tech was superior, their society was at peace, but they were not well known through the galaxy. But the charismatic Hadrin worked to convince them to spread out into the galaxy. Many of the younger generation rallied to Hadrin, and using a Tragalonian-made hyper drive, set out across the galaxy. In the same year, they came back to Trag with amazing stories of conquest and adventure and then the Tragalonians were convinced it was their lot to rule the galaxy. The great Order of the Star Republic was formed.
